Miguel Rodriguez | Jorge Zamorano

Zamorano, a self-taught artist, left Cuba to live in Puerto
Rico with his family. In San Juan, at the early age of
ten, he began to experiment with color and the human form.
It's in the intensity of his use of color that he demonstrates a
close affinity with his Caribbean heritage.
His mastery
and command of purples and reds, for example, reveal the nature
of his Afro-Cuban cultural differences. Many of Zamorano's
works are displayed throughout the United States, Latin America
and Europe.
