Miguel Rodriguez | Jorge Zamorano

Chef Miguel
was born in 1959 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. At the age of
19, he moved to New Orleans where he received his Bachelors
Degree in Arts from Loyola University. There, Miguel began
experimenting in the kitchen of different restaurants in
Louisiana like Drusilla Seafood, The Common Point and The
Jefferson Country Club, where he learned the essence of Creole
Cuisine.
After ten years, Miguel moved to various places across the
nation like New York City, Florida and finally the Nations
Capital, where he became the Executive Chef of the Embassy of
Argentina for the next eleven years.
In January of 2001, he decided to merge his Caribbean heritage,
his Creole passion and diplomatic flair to create the unique
cuisine of Starfish Café.
